No swinging over the cab and do NOT let them push you if you get stuck, get a chain and make them pull you, especially in an aluminum trailer

At least it didn't freeze in there! Been there done that. We were hauling road base, Grade D, similar to 3/4 crush, and they were placing it with a paver so it had to be watered down good at the gravel pit. This is all good and fine, but this was the end of October or the beginning of November last year. Everything was starting to get cold I had been running either a loader, roller, or mexican dragline for most of the week and on that Friday I finally got to get back in the truck and have a easy job. All sounds good and fine still. Well what I didn't know was I'd been getting a bit of water in my hydraulic tank. Well I got this nice watered down crush in my box head up to the job back up to the paver, flip my pto on and nothing. Well in the time it took me to figure out what had happened I ended up burning up the pto. Stupid truck driver right, yep I know. Well the new pump I want to say showed up the next Monday or Tuesday. Got it on the truck so I head on down to the gravel pit to give em back their gravel. Backed up to the pile dumped and a bit came out, but there was about a foot's worth of a shell that was froze on top, and like always a bunch up by the doghouse. The guy running the loader down there just felt bad for me and let me have the rest of it for my own driveway so I wouldn't be in the way at the pit shoveling out. Kinda lucked out there.

Easy set your trailer brake release tractor brake dump load they say to dump your air bags on tractor but I always left them up with a jmh 45 foot frameless monster 4 I've grossed as much as 150,000 gross of frag with no problems dumping.

Just an FYI you guys that are paving, Diesel fuel in some locations are not allowed such as some Aggregate Industries plants.. Peanut oil is a great replacement for this.. It can be pricey, But it beats shoveling the following day.

Yes Its is one of my primary hauls. You have to wash it off. I have a 1 1/2 water line that I use for washing out my trailer, works well on the out side. Some ash has more oil in it and will stain your aluminum.

You run a pneumatic or end-dump? Where do you get the water? Do you have a water tank on your rig for that?

I have used diesel fuel to top off hydraulic tank to get load off but only if it is the last alternative.

Chains, cables, and straps can all kill you if your not careful, pushing can kill you to, when your boss sees what you did to the body on his truck/trailer

    Eaton18 Thanks this.
