It ain't my fantasy. I do not like palm trees, beaches, oceans and so along. I think the "real" california is up north in the hills around places like Sterling City. All the trees, hippies, meth-heads, inbreads and the like. My mom lives north of Sacramento just into the Sierra Nevadas. I have seen the locals and it makes Kentucky and WVA look normal.:biggrin_25520:

The real "fanatasy" I guess, is in the eye of the beholder.

On another note, we were talking about T/As weren't we?

True That about CO and split speed limits however....CDOT has an issue with Cali Spreads...They treat them like they're tandems....:biggrin_2552:

That Montgomery TA doesnt live up to its reputation these days. Really not that bad. The worst ever was the old one in Atlanta that they closed down. That one was TERRIBLE in every way possible.

The worst one I was ever in was the one on I 55 just south of Chicago. At one time it was a 76 Truck Stop. Others that are close are Jessup Md and Montgomery.

Really; is there a such thing as a good T/A? 14 years of driving and I'm still looking for one....Maybe I've missed something in the T/A, IE....powdered eggs on the breakfast buffet where some greaser had his mule skinning hands on the dirty spoon!

LOL; you would think that T/A would get the hint about their establishments..

r place is awsome! talk to a waitress last time we stopped there and were told that when t/a took over that it was in the contract that they couldnt change the restaurant for 10 years. lets hope that is true. i would hate to see it changed. lets also hope that t/a gets some intellegence and see just what a good thing they have going there.
the bakery is pretty good too!
