i will admit the food at the t/a country pride restaurants is consistent..... at being very very bad no matter which one you eat at
-
A lot of the locals like to eat there too & they'll stop coming. -
I spent my last stop before home time in Morris, the R place restaurant had great food and the bakery rocks. I even bought some stuff to bring home for the family to try.

R Place in Morris is one of the few restaurants I eat at. They will definitely lose my business if they ever change it.
As a general rule of thumb, a TA in a city will be a dump, and a TA in the country won't be as bad. There are exceptions, of course. -

Worst TAs ever: Nashville and Atlanta. -
Someone mentioned Denver West, until T/A took them over it wasn't bad. They seem to go up and down on quality. After the state rebuilt the interchange by them, there was talk they would enlarge the lot, rebuild it and improve the place. It's been almost a year, still haven't seen them do anything.
Denver East T/A started off nice, lasted 2 yrs before it too became a dump. They tried charging for parking at one time, lasted about 2 months then that stopped. -
Just stating my honest observations here, it seems the worst T/As are staffed by, shall we say non-whites. I've been around and it's actually a true statement, generally speaking.
The staff doesn't work. They stand around, loudly enjoying the company of their friends who always hang out there with them. Cleanliness is always someone else's job. If they are on a job they move sluggishly. Surfaces have layers upon layers of hand and finger prints. Floors are filthy. The one guy who is working doesn't speak English!
When I was a teen doing kitchen work with my friends we ran our place a lot better and we were drunk and stoned to boot!1catfish Thanks this. -
