Worst T/A

worst one in my opnion was the nashville tn ta the one downtown. have not been back since it was redone after the flood and probally wont, also rawlings wy is a crap hole in my opnion.

 

Prescott, AR and Earle, AR are not great

Matthews, MO is tiny but the food is descent, but get there before 6pm to get a spot

OKC (both) have descent food, but the showers are TINY

My favorite is the Ganado, TX location. Nice, BIG, clean showers and the food is good. Staff is friendly and it is a newer built location with lots of parking.

Porter, IN has AMAZING food, but that's all I know as I live 15 miles away and never had to use them for anything else.

 

IMHO rule of thumb for T/A--those that started out as T/A's usually should be avoided--many that were taken over have potential and are ok--For instance Most of the old rip-offs are still ok(Ganado tx for example)--most of the former travelports till pretty good--and of course the old orange balls--that still look like an orange ball after all these years--probably need a good demolition

 

The worse TA is usually the one you're at right now

 

I didn't like the T/A at Lake Station, IN..... it was creepy.

 

That one has always been creepy. IMO any T/S in or near a big city is creepy,crappy, or whatever negative adjective a driver wants to use. That's why I park at T/S's out in the country unless I'm picking up or delivering a load in a big city.

i stopped at this one a few months ago. lebo,ks when i was filling up thermos with hot water i smelt mold , when i was brushing my teeth in the shower room i smelt mold and when i showered i smelt mold. i reported it to the the manager she didnt think much about it lol i also called head office and reported it, i have not been thru there since

 

its called well water....

the one in maybrook, ny off of i-84......bad attitide from the staff, last time i went to shower there, no paper in the dispenser, and the attendant(this guy sounded like one of those characters from a mob flick)refused to get off his lazy ### to get a new roll, before that, i ordered the hot turkey sammich from the menu, after an hours wait, i got a plate of cold turkey, another plate of stale bread, and a plate of cold mashed taters and gravy, and an explanation from the waitress that the cooks quit that day, so the manager was doing the cooking. recently, i went and ordered the baked ziti,,,looked like someone barfed up a pizza onto the plate. i hope the ny national guard "accidently" drops a 2500 pounder on this dump.
