Worst T/A

Had an interesting talk with a T/A manager in Ohio this morning.
I guess they were purchased recently.
New rules that are and have come down:
Use 10% less coffee grounds when making coffee.
Now I'm not a coffee snob, but TA has weak coffee to begin with. IMO
They cannot make any coffee other than the 'regular' between 10pm and 5am.
Mangement doesn't figure that many drivers come thru during those hours and they're trying to save money.
Only one of each hot dog on the grill between 10pm and 8am. Even tho they have the 'two fer' special running.
They want stores to begin two tier pricing for refills: small or large.
There were some other things such as no more than three boxes of kleenex in inventory (for sale) at any time.
But obviously, the bean counters have taken over...and they don't drink coffee!

The one that becomes a PILOT!

 

I went to the T/A in Morris,Il the other day and it wasnt too bad. The food was pretty good buts that's probably because it was a different resturant than what's usually at the t/a.

 

After almost 3 years OTR, R Place is one of only 3 T/S resturants that I've found that are worth stopping at just for the food.
