    I wouldn't haul it on a Sunday.

But if I did, I would X those chains.

id haul it, x chains or not, as long as you got chains pulling in the opposite direction, mission accomplished

All day and 1/2 the night. I'd of course make sure my axle weights were good. Which should be easy.

    No...several reasons:

    1. The boom on the escavator needs to be facing rearward
    2. That escavator is centered over the front trailer axle. I would bet money that you're over 40 k on the spread.
    3. I would be over gross and that's a divisible load
    4. I don't like that strap going through the middle of the little front loader.

    1. Doesn't matter which way boom faces
    2. Shovel only weighed 27k
    3. 32k is my empty weight less than 70k gross
    4. strap was requested per the shipper

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

That changes things. I was thinking the escavator would be closer to 20 tonnes. Certain states require the boom to be facing to the rear.

That's only a 28k lb excavator maybe a 10k lb tractor maybe. Seemed alright to me.

How can the shovel only weigh 27k when the Deere specs show it to be about 39,700 lbs operating weight?
Also, the shipper isn't responsible for load securement... the driver is responsible.
And I'd definitely X-chain to prevent lateral movement.
