Exactly Jeresxp7.. I merely wanted to give Tim a heads up so that he would not fall prey to a lot of false promises made by a recruiter..

Let's not bust the man's chops about his past. He has the right to move on from it if he served his sentence.

Absolutely. I believe his mistake was allowing his emotions (in all probability) to get him into a bad situation. The assault conviction was the result. I doubt that he got up one day and said 'hey, I think I'll go out and clobber somebody today'. Maybe I'm wrong, but he deserves a new try.

Well I have a few thousand employees and I yes some of them have been convicted felons. But they paid there debt to society in the eyes of the law so when they applied for a job I look at it as they made a mistake and paid for it. Yes he was convicted and he has done his time and taken responsibility for his actions. He is trying to better himself and move on and that is what I was replying to not to judge him or his past but to offer an opinion and advice which is what he asked..

Its ok...In a since he's right. But no one is perfect and unfortunately i had terrible lapse of judgment. It doesnt mean that life is over and i refuse to accept that..i screwed up bigtime and had to pay dearly, with the lost of my military career, being away from my family and time in general however it will never be used as an excuse as to why i cant prevail.

Nail on the head...i really had a bad day.

I have to move foward though and use the experience as a learning tool. Ive learned alot about myself and others on the journey and its open my eyes in ways unimaginable...

Another option for you to consider is TransAm, not the best company, but we had a recruiter come to our school and one of the things he said is that they were a second chance company and would consider people with felonies, and I mean just having that one indecent and it being 3 years ago you'll be able to get in with them.

they run reefers, start at .30 a mile with not much of any pay raises, but apparently they get a decent amount of miles.
