Meh, I don't sit around and wait for yard jockeys when my trailer's blocked in. I just move the ones that are blocking it.

    LoneCowboy Thanks this.

Unfortunately, there really was no place to put these trailers once I moved them. And barely enough room to get any of them out with a sleeper cab. I asked if I could leave, and dispatch insisted I wait.

There's always a place to put them. I usually only have to move them a few feet, but have been known to spot trailers in empty dock doors, or even across the noses of trailers that are docked. The yard jockey can move them later. I have work to do.

You haven't learned yet what a quick conversation
With a forklift driver and what a couple of 20 dollar
    Bills can do.
    Don't hurt to ask.

Only one losing money while sitting there
All day is you. Everybody else is on the clock.
I can lose a few hundred bucks and a full
Days work or slide the unloader a twenty dollar
Bill and get out of there and Back rolling.

I've done it more than a few times.
For twenty bucks I got to keep my
Next load that was going home.
You got to do,what you gotta to do.

Emgee, Doing_flatbed_nc and JonJon78 Thank this.

That's Brad James hes a country music recording artist.
Also he's a fellow Heniff driver, I've run into him several times great guy.
He has a viral video out on the inter web now about his truck being booted at the walmart in Berea Kentucky just last week

You obviously didn't look at the pic I attached to show just how f-cked-up this place is.

This yard is tight enough that you have room only to move the trailer you are leaving with, and that is it.
