Would you quit if forced on eLogs?

How many people do you think have no idea how to fix lights or wirring or anything else. Here a hint tons apon tons of them.
Teach them how then if needed they can do it, But they do not teach that in the trucking schools as far as I know.
Here is a good idea why don`t you open a school to teach drivers how to fix the small things. You know the things they never fixed on their pov let alone a big truck. Some people never had a screw driver in hand let alone how to use it. -

Exactly..if i can take 5 min. to pop in a light then have to wait sometimes an hour or more for someone at the TA to do it, then I will...thats an hour saved and 60 miles further down the road. -
running in the landfills and the scrap yards u pick up a lot of different things in tires its pretty much an unwritten rule up here in new england if u pull a live floor u better have ur own decent tire plug kit also u cant be afraid to change out air lines, radiator hoses, fixing lights also its best to learn how to be creative with a bungie cord we dont get road calls and if u cant do the small stuff then i guarantee you will not last long

so in my experience there I've seen 15 drivers that said they'd quit if eLogs were forced on them. When it eventually happened 14 of them just accepted it and adapted to the change (even one in his 70's). 1 guy is on LOA deciding if trucking is for him any more. So I was just curious where people stood, thanks for participating.

Elogs are not as bad as people have made them out to be, I spent the first 21 years on paper, ask me to go on Paper again and I will Quit.
I get regular rest and I run just as hard as everyone else who runs anywhere close to legal, I just do not have the time to screwoff, lol. I do not own a TV in my truck, and I know how to keep my door closed.
In a 65mph @ 11 hours = 715 (708 is a good day in reality 680 is avg) a Day @ .40CPM = 272.00 (680 a day) X 6 Days a Week is 1632.00 before all the extras and uncle Sam rips it up about 1300 Net a week. 84K a year.
Now before someone says you do not run that every day, nope your right but I have average 3600 miles per week this year so far and if you do the math it ain't that bad. A good Company will know how to work the Elogs and the driver to the fullest potential.
I have had more relaxing days driving, better rested and less stress and I only have to fill out 1 piece of paper per trip. PTI is on the qcomm also.
So In my Opinion it has it advantages, but then again you have to be willing to plan your trip from start to finish and stick to it, -
Maybe if you are running the superslab all the time. I have a 68 mph truck and the best average I can get is 56-58 mph. But then I don't get the option to run the superslab on my runs.
I would run elogs but only if 3 things happened first. The boss would have to up the speed on my truck to 75 mph. He would have to uprate the power of my truck so that I don't scrub off so much speed when I encounter hills and the HOS rules would have to change so that I can stop the 14.
I ran a 660 mile day earlier this week and it took me over 11 hours to do it. With Elogs I would have been stuck sitting in a rest area for 10 hours, 45 miles from home.
I don't do creative writing so I can squeeze in 900 mile days. I don't do creative writing so that I can squeeze in two loads in a 1 load day.
Many of our 650-700 mile runs would turn into over nights if we had to go Elogs. Overnights in a truck leave me more tired because I don't sleep well in a truck.
