Yea, not much cheaper that 5 gallon buckets, or even jugs. Only a few dollars off. The plus is, it’s delivered and I don’t have to go anywhere.

Depends on the area, the drums i buy are USUALLY a lot cheaper then the bottle oil though i can get the bottles or buckets on discount for less occasionally. Drums where i live are around $800 a pop before the deposit and only $700 a pop if you buy 4 though which is a decent savings. I also get $25 a drum back for a deposit too. It aint much but it adds up.

Bottles are usually around $17 a gallon for t4 15w40 where i live since we are rural as hell. But ive found them as low as $10 on sale and tend to buy everything they got to refill.my drums.....so eh. Though if i get a barrel of hydro oil and coolant at the same time they do give me a 10% discount which is nice since i go through a barrel of each per year. (The coolant mostly on my loader in winter, #### thing is constantly leaking and the fix costs more then the #### loader did lol)

A local Shell distributor gave me a price on Rotella. I declined as it’s still cheaper at Walmart.

If it wasn't cut I'd use it. Fuel system parts are too sensitive to contamination to risk it.

Why’s my local distributor (anything) shutting down ? Oh ya stuff is cheaper online price and quality wise . Sometimes helping local helps local economies imo

Can’t be right, $90 for a Davco filter. The spin on fuel filter I’ve paid $90 before at dealership.

I get the Davco’s now at TA/Petro. Anywhere from $31 to $35 each.

I absolutely wouldn’t use that filter regardless if it was not visibly torn. Worst case scenario isn’t worth the risk over a few dollars.

Something I do quite often is drain off some fuel from the Davco. I use an empty windshield wash bottle, crack open the screw top and then open the drain for a few seconds. Amazing what comes out and my truck is relatively new. Couldn’t imagine what that crud would do if it got passed and into the system.
