"Hey guys, I've just started playing football. Love the game. One day, I would like to play pro ball, but I realize that I need to learn how to play since I've only seen it played on TV. How would you recommend that I start?"

And then, everyone would recommend a high school with a good football program. Then, he could go to that school, join their football program, AND LEARN TO PLAY HIGHSCHOOL FOOTBALL! Build his strength, increase his speed, hone his skills, and move up from there. That way, he would have a much better chance of playing pro ball.

    "But what's wrong with ambition?"

If you don't know how to play HIGHSCHOOL football, what are your chances of being successful in the pros? What do you think would happen if you stuck the average Joe in a pro game, full contact as QB? My bet is that he would get taken out on a stretcher after the first snap.

Farm equipment dealers seem to be joining forces and becoming 4,5 or even 20 location dealerships. Talk to your local dealer and maybe drive for them to learn the business. Then you have a foot in the door at least. By then you would know what kind of wagon would make you the most money or if you need a few different wagons to look after their business. Running empty one way would likely be a bad deal for an O/O.

I'm just saying. As of right now 99% of the time anything that drives on or drives off is cheap. (To me anyways)
Most dealers are starting to run their own fleets.
Boyd just bought out Mid Seven. Tennant is offering 3 stop 10' wide loads for $1.65/mile (thats always to stop 3) never has the right miles thats about 50% lower then respectable. Keen being bought out. I'm saying as a guy who started wanting to do the exact thing you're talking about. STAY AWAY!!! You'll thank me later

I'll chime in here as well. I sold my step with ramps last year. No money to be made with the ramps. I know a tractor dealer personally, but I can't afford to haul them for him. The only time I can haul Deere out of the port is when a certain dealer orders hundreds of tractors at one time, but even then one of our two JD agents cuts the others throat, and that is the same trucking company! June and July used to be spent running 3-4 loads of tractors a week. I did 4 loads total this year. Kubota prices are a bad joke as well. Seems like everyone and their brother has bought a step deck in the last few years. I've actually been contemplating becoming a door slammer again, just looking for the right deal. I'm only in this for the money though. Saw a 14 wide from FL to AZ on the board yesterday for $4.xx including escorts and permits. I think it might get tough in the platform market.

I don't see a real issue with the platform market. I see an issue with the anything over dimension market. It's ridiculous

John dear is mostly hauled by TMC. IF you lease onto them they could give you a JD dedicated account, but JD mostly doesn't use single operators. Kubota is out of japan, so most of their stuff probably arrives in containers and container ships across the US. I could be wrong, but I have never seen a Kubota on the back of flatbed.

If you do find a JD or other equipment account, a lot is step deck or rng, not flatbed. Yes I have hauled JD equipment on 53' flats, but mostly they use step. Not sure if you could find a deal with catapiler. We hauled a bit fo it but certainly were not one of their main carriers. Everything we hauled for them payed awesome.

I see. So since you know it all you thought it's even more helpful to be sarcastic to someone who is only asking for some info. You'd rather show everyone how much more smarter you are by being sarcastic instead of using your awesome amount of knowledge to give him some pointers. Sad
