the truly important thing isnt the time it takes or the skill level IT IS NOT HITTING ANYTHING. The juvenile comments warrant there own thread for the super heroes whose biggest accomplishment is making CO2 from oxygen

I agree...At Watkins Shepard, we get ZERO trainer time and I would bet we don't have as high a % of backing accidents as other companies...Why is that?...Are they better at selecting drivers that will make better decisions as they learn the idiosyncrasies of the skill and/or better at getting rid of those in orientation they don't think will?...

I only called him an idiot because the first guy refused to listen to me. When I told him to stop he kept going and I was right near his window so he heard me for sure. Btw I forgot to mention that they had plenty of room, the lane was almost two lanes wide but the space up front was the same as a small truck stop and they had no idea how to do it.

Ya I figured you called him an idiot out of anger.Sounds like he was just real frustrated and the last thing he wanted to do at the time was listen to another driver,

There was bickering (I don't feel I got nasty), but I do feel that sexist comments DO need to be be addressed. It's definitely not my life I was fighting for, but it was definitley a topic. Perhaps one only important to a minority of members here though. :(

I always try to help fellow drivers back into spots, I know trying to back when you are tired is rough. One time I helped a poor JB Hunt driver back into a spot. He just couldn't do it. I got out and spotted him in. He offered to buy me some coffee. I politely declined, telling him no reward was needed for helping him back his bobtail.
