Wow, is a Galaxy DX-98VHP really worth this much?

Do a google search on the web for a pair of dump trucks from Dereks trucking service out of Raleigh NC that were busted while mobile. There's a PDF that explains it in great detail. It didn't take the fox hunters hours to find them either. Plus I believe it was a total of 2. Don't kind yourself fella it's easier to do than you think.

Back on the subject of the thread... I picked up one of these radios used for $275 in L.A. I really liked it but didn't dare run it with power until upgrading the power supply wire to run directly from the batteries. It worked great! Sold it to a friend and it is still working 5x5.

Was coming thru Orange TX a couple days ago and a radio shop was advertising what was I thought he said a 3350 Conex for $329 brand new. It is a 200 watt radio from the factory? I can't find anything like that online. I must have gotten it wrong, so what was it that he was selling? He said it was not a DX98VHP. I'm obviously no CB radio expert but I'd like to have another nice radio for that kind of money.

They make a 3400 now but i don't think they can get 200 watts out of it.
It could have been an older CX 4300-300

ok been gone a while..yea looked up derek service...they only reason they got anything was they gave their postions out over the radio. according to all the stories i read this ham team had been hunting them for sometime and they are local driver. in addition the owner did not get fined nor in trouble just a letter warning. on a seprate site it also states he still uses those channels and still has not been charged as the FCC can not prove its is them and will not send an agent out. so again a couple of people got lucky that they gave away the area they where in. big wopp...

and ps go ahead try and find me in smithton pa. i am from that area but not smithton....and for the comment that the fcc sees that possesnion is use..so not true. done been there done that fcc stood on my step looking at my nice big gallaxy asking me if i use it....nope sure dont. now have a nice day i got to get to work enless of course you are charging me with a crime or writing me a ticket. nope cant give you a ticket if your not using it have a great day...

so go back to your ham station get on the radio and tell all your buddies this truck will talk where on whatever he wants to try and find me and try and get me fined.......LMAO

Ok yeah so the FCC sends warnings to first time offenders. Where did you fail to read that in any of my posts? Where did you read about those hams having to take a while to find Dereks? Lol failure to comprehend much? Furthermore where did you see where Dereks decided to start yapping on 10 again unlicensed? Please show me and maybe I won't think you're full of #### like you've proven on all your other posts.

This clown has no idea what he is talking about. A big overmodulated splatter box cb is very easy to track, even mobile.

I can't believe that lady has never heard of T hunting. I had a directional antenna I bought from Radio Shack in 1987 and I used to use it all the time to track people down it was like a big game we used to play in LA kind of like hide-and-seek with CB radios and we all had directional antennas
