That will add a skid mark to his track suit.
Good to see them mention tire ratings for a change. Wonder what other violations they found outside of weight & logs? Cannot see a co logo/DOT # displayed or a not for hire tag. Maybe it is the lighting, but does not look like the car on the over length flips does not have straps on the rear wheels...
BigBob410 and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
Glad to here it !
That death trap is way over on front over hang also.
They need to start nailing these clowns before some innocent life is wasted.
Cull the heard... -
The other day saw almost the same set up coming off vail pass and asked my self why would you even try it
-
Could someone in the know explain the 'well over accepted tire weight ratings'? The trailer has 8 tires even the 10 plies each tire is rated 3,000 lbs each and the axle is rated 10,000 lbs each.
-
Would guess the trailer scaled OK. Typically with a 4 car & the front hanging over that far, the drive axle of the dually will exceed the recommended tire rating.
-
Definitely over on the rear axel.
And 4 cars is definitely ifta territory but I don’t see any stickers on the truck.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
6 vehicles, the 5 cars are probably 3000 lbs apiece or less and the mini suv is probably 4000, that's about 19,000 lbs in load, the truck weighs about 7000 lbs so that would put him at 26,000 lbs plus whatever the trailer tare weight is.
I don't know what that trailer weighs empty but I doubt it is enough to make the over load more than a ton or so, if he is dropping off the suv quickly (it's on the back so he probably will) I think his load will be legal. -
You are so on point. Thanks for sharing.Hulld Thanks this.

The truck is 7000 lbs, trailer 8000 lbs, the 4 vehicles on the trailer about 12,000 lbs I doubt he is even over the tire rated weight on the drive axle. Let's say the drive axle tires are rated 2910 lbs each (which is common for the dually pickup trucks) that's almost 12,000 lbs rated weight on the truck rear axle, I don't see 12,000 lbs on top of the truck rear axle here. It would be interesting to see the weight printout, I would fight this violation unless he was taken to a weight station.
