Wow...Werner new hires

    Wow... just got off the phone with a friend of mine, who has been with W for awhile on a regular semi local/regional run....just decided to go OTR because of boredom, mainly....
    So the driver has been at the Dallas terminal for days, and accepted for this, and here's what is crazy... I guess...?
    For the last two days, the driver and about 20-30 people have been standing in line all day, at the terminal office, waiting on their names to be called, to be assigned a truck.....?!?

    Finally got the truck today and promptly went into the shop. Till Thursday...when 'maybe' the required permits are 'coming in the mail' for the truck....

    I'm not passing judgement here...just seems like...I dunno... something wrong in Whoville...LOL...dang!

    That is crazy! I would be a very unhappy driver if this happened to me. One of the hard parts of being such a big company is that often times the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I've heard numerous stories about people waiting a week or more for a truck with this company. You would think that there would be a better way to accommodate your drivers.

    Welcome to Big Blue! LOTS of trainees. Not so many trucks. BUT they keep pumping them through training!
