You guys want to do a couple things with sma connectors. the first is use the proper wrench to torque them down, https://www.pasternack.com/preset-torque-wrench-5-16-bit-sma-2.92mm-3.5mm-8in-lbs-pe5011-1-p.aspx second is when you use adapters, you have to be careful to make sure they do not have a lateral load on them.
Actually im usually a few ohms on either side of 50 depending on what freq im tuneing.. Resonance is there to on 27185 but changes as i go up or down in freq.. I started to try and tune for ch 1 because my run is only 2 hrs from the house and most down my way run on 26965,but no matter how much i raise or lower the whip (102" on 10" riser) i couldnt get where it need to be..Then wind blast hits it makeing it electrically longer and blows my tune outta wack.....When it gets warmer i gotta pull it and see if i can unsieze the lock screw in the riser and try some new things..
Well that's normal since resonance is frequency dependant. I wouldn't waste too much time and money on it, since you can't change the law of physics. If you talk the most on channel 1, then that would be the frequency to focus on. Or any other single frequency of choice. But since it sounds like ch 19 works the best, I would just leave it as is. I think a lot of guys would love to have a mobile antenna system like yours on their trucks. Especially with the readings you have on the analyzer.
Tks guys....I know conditions make a diff and all but a fella with same set up (a youtube vid)almost doubles my range...Just trying to figure out the differences cause covid got the other guy so i cant ask..God rest his soul..
