In the mean time I would spend my time F@@@ing with the 28 year old supervisor who doesn’t know squat about safe driving practices. He won’t like you but once he knows you aren’t doing dangerous driving practices he may respect you. Or not!

You were expected to work 10-14 and you agreed yet couldn’t hang.
Doesn’t sound like they were expecting you to drive tired either. They expected a driver who could manage their off time and get the required rest to do the job.
You even stated that being tired wasn’t your main reason for shutting it down. Seems that you just don’t like driving after dark, imo.
Crying to safety Or FMCSA is pure silliness. Just find a job that’s less demanding. -
