Wrong trailer

Since we're spell checking here or not, tetnus is spelled tetanus. Just sayin....

 

I actually looked up the spelling to be sure while I was writing the post. It was a typing failure on my part.

the most embarrassin part is picking up the right trailer # only to get to the gate and find out it is a stevens transport trailer and not the transam trailer. no it wasn't me i'm just sayin...........

 

I've been wondering since I read the original post, was he assigned a non-hazmat load and grabbed a hazmat load by mistake? Opens up all kinds of possibilities.

 

I ran across some place a couple of years ago that a TransAm driver had hooked to a Swift van, and got a few hundred miles before they got him turned around. Needless to say, trailer control at that shipper/receiver had become anal to say the least.

 

How about a company that is updating their trailer fleet and the 100 new trailers are NUMBERED to match the 100 trailers they are gettng rid of, told to get trailer # 2620 and 50/50 chance of getting the right one.

As a result of that SCREWUP I tried to bring a load of PINEAPPLES back into the USA from Canada when it had been delivered into Canada the day before..

I suggested to my trainer we take a couple of 'the other guys' mts and park them down the street before pulling one our mts! He said that would be bad.
