I often wondered why they never built a fifth wheel pin on each end of trailer...just for such an occaision....air operated landing gear also...just waiting for driverless trucks...lmfao.

Had to call the cops once myself, got lucky and flagged him down.
Company routing had me taking a right turn, just before a 12 ft bridge.
Rush hour in buffalo, and everyone from right, is running the light...there is traffic in the intersection..no possible way for me to make a right turn.happened for a couple lights.
    Cop held up traffic,so I could do a nice big u turn..ugh

That's an easy fix. Just break them apart, turn everything around and re-hook everything. I watched FedEx Ground get his tit in a wringer at the Pilot in Hebron, OH a few weeks ago. He ended up in the dead end back lot with not even close to enough room to flip around. Of course this being FXG and him being a moron he tried anyway and jacked up his dolly and back box with the whole lot watching and laughing/cringing.

I remember one time when I was new I couldn't even find the on ramp to I-5 one morning in central CA after pulling out of the Pee-lot and ended up in a dirt lot at o'dark thirty making an idiot of myself trying to get turned around. It happens even to guys who aren't new.

It's like these idiots forget the truck goes backwards too. If you can drive it in somewhere you can usually back it out the same way

    Yup.

You have the drivers who've had at least one "oops" moment, and the ones who lie and say they haven't.

    Boattlebot and Lepton1 Thank this.
