About 10 years ago, my BOL said Universal Parkway .... instead of Road. Ended up in a gated community with a "rent a cop" on a golf cart chasing me around. It wasn't a parkway, it was more like a 'COURT' .... IE: dead end. No GPS back then. Thank God wife was with me and spotted me blindsiding the hell outta there. Never again.

Meh. You got complacent maybe since you've already been there I don't know. Pay more attention next time blah blah blah I don't know. I could kick a man when he's down and pretend like I never been scatter brained before or I could just reiterate the fact that you stopped when you realized you were up the creek without a paddle. You didn't tear up the rig or someone's property and you won't wind up on YouTube. Hopefully you learned a lesson not to proceed down the road in hopes to find a turn around and just call the cops to back out of that turn. Tomorrow's another day right?

Won't deny that complacency may have played a part here. And i didn't realize I was screwed till the end of the road unfortunately

As you will learn from this, there are few roads where a u turn can be completed with an OTR tractor and 53 without carved turnouts or another 4 lane intersection to turn in. These situations require a back out almost always. It sucks but it is what it is.

Another day another lesson learned. Lesson? Study the situation on google maps satellite prior to initiating your approach, take it slow and don't screw up .... keep the satellite view up if you must, especially in the dark and unfamiliar location.

I've thing I was taught when I first started driving 2 and a half years ago was

"if you got yourself into it, you can get yourself out the same way you got in"

    Just my opinion

I had to back a set of doubles about half a mile one time. Took about 500
pull - ups and a couple hours.
Had to have police block intersections for me.
