Such a heartbreaking story, no matter what the cause was. My prayers and thoughts will go to the survivors and their families.

I was thinking the same thing about a blackout. There are plenty of people who will drink until they literally lose their minds, and instead of falling down and passing out, they get in their vehicles and go out on the road. I've known people who start to lose their grip after a drink or two; not the normal "buzz", but headed straight out into oblivion.

Well Wow first lemme say my prayers go out to the families of the victums and the trucker.....terrible indeed...but we have to send prayers for the young mans family that was the trucker cause they have to live with the fact of there indeed 33 year old goober that killed people.....now some may not agree but hey if we all agreed on everything we this world would be a better place.....its not a so good place it is all going to hell in a basket....the trucker did wrong with what he did and yes i agree he should pay...but we shall also send our prayers to the family of the trucker cause they are going to go thru hell rite along with him and they shouldnt suffer due to the stupidity of this fella....i tell ya i see drivers all the time in truck stops sloppy drunk just adding fuel to the fire for the people that alrdy think we are a bunch of worthless old dirty road hawgin perverts.....so lets turn this into a positive not a negetive....we all can learn from this and everyother time it happens out here on the road...we need to stick together and turn the name of a once legendary industry...cause i remember when i was a young boy going with my dad in his old mack with no sleeper..almost no heat..lol....and def no aircondition....i slept on a 2x10 stretched across the seats with my pillow biend my dads legg....and on the cb ther were breeds of truckers that were real drivers that launched this industry into what should have been every young mans dream...It sure was mine and i now live it everyday....This is all i know and i strive to keep it going in a positive productive direction....I truly care for all my fellow drivers some a lil different than others but we are all out here together we need to start acting like it.....sorry for the miss spells i spent most of my time trucking with my dad instead of going to school...lol....with this being said. EVERYONE BE SAFE THIS NEW YEARS AND LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER>>>>>

It's time to put the bottle down and go to bed! You do have a point tho, I wouldn't know how to feel it it was one of my kids that did that!
Looking at the car it's amazing anyone lived! -
HELL NO!!!!
This idiot drove for my company, I'm ashamed to say. How the heck he managed to get hired, I'll never understand. Check out this quote from the reader comments:
Dope!?! Really!??!?!!
This sorry excuse for an ex-driver has got me so ###### mad that I had to calm down a bit before writing. The rest of us in the company are trying our darnedest to do our jobs in as safe a manner as we know how, and this guys screws it up. It's not like we don't have a shady enough rep as things are already; he just made things even worse for us.
This nimrod should have never been issued a CDL. IMHO the death penalty is far too humane for this piece of trash
Giggles the Original and Marksteven Thank this. -
It bothers me TA let him leave the lot when they knew he was messed up. Evidently he had some drugs already from the bar. Probably a few shots too many and it hit him all at once. Blackout. When I first read this thread, I had pretty good intuition this is what happened. Such a shame.
I knew a woman that was like him. She would blackout everytime she drank. She ended up running under the back of an 18 wheeler.Giggles the Original Thanks this.
