On my way to Helena and into the shop...finally. Had an oil change and brake work done in Lakewood (that I've been complaining about the last 2 months), not too happy with the condition of the brakes. They'll be getting a looong list of crap to repair.

Home for weekend on way from OH to GA...

Yesterday I had 2 close calls within minutes of each other...First, a small car cut in front of me so close I would have swore I hit it...Then the person waves to me after I blasted them with my air horn and could see the handicap tag hanging from their rear view mirror...I was not shocked they were handicapped after seeing how they drove...Then, 2 miles down the road(I-71 with 65mph limit) a car in front of a car in front of me out of nowhere locks up their brakes and then so did I...I left over 150' of dark dashed skid marks on the road, and one short one in my pants...I only had 10K in the trunk so the wheels didn't stick to the ground, had me shaking for a good 10 minutes...

Idaho DOT has to be one of the worst. Iam a retired cop with 26 years of service and I can't stand Idaho and Washington DOT!

A surprise level 1 north of Riggins, ID on 95 that yielded 54 CSA points. Being a fellow cop kept me from getting any citations.

Sadly, today was my last day. Though the pay leaves much to be desired, I had a great time and met many wonderful people at WS. However, I am heading back to Alaska, specifically Barrow Police Department for a minimum of 4 months and possible longer if I don't head to Iraq as an advisor for the US State Department. I do plan, however, to return to WS to see more of our great country and meet more great WS staff and drivers.
