Sent my app. in on Monday, asked how realistic the $72,000 a year was to the recruiter, she told me top driver last year made $81,000. what do you guys think? Also how much sitting do you guys do, and does OTR drivers have to do the LTL/ 15 stop loads? unless you want to?
-
$72K for a team yes, a driver that does a buttload of LTL and lives on the road, and is at the top of the pay scale sure. First year you'll do $40,000 to $50,000 GROSS and then up from there should be about $55,000 or so 2nd year.
yes ALL drivers have to do the LTL runs they can have anywhere from 1 stop to 25 stops on a run. There isnt very much sitting, but from time to time you may sit for a few hours between loads. in my 14 months with W/S i had 1 layover thats it.
