Hi all, Well am from virginia and just graduated from truck driving school and got my CDL class A. Am heading to atlanta georgia for orientation with MCT on monday, can anyone tell me what I should expect,

Am only reading good and positive comments about MCT, am glad I made a good choice to join then.

 

Orientation consists of couple of days of class. Drug test and medical check up. Priority one. Then a quick road test. No big deal there. Atlanta yard is really a dump so do not get ur hopes up on that. Don't worry u will not be there long. Hotel is ok. They feed u lunch and a voucher for dinner. Road test will be in either a Prostar or a Mac. Both are Auto, s. HINT. When stopped the trans acts as if it is in neutral. KEEP UR FOOT ON THE BRAKE HARD to avoid rolling. U are gonna love the way the autos down shift to aid in stopping. Hopefully a Trainer is available and will come in to load up. I will be coming off break and in there Wed morning. Hey Walker. Got my Preplan and Load Plan last nite. Got to pick up in Fairburn, Ga at 1900 hrs Wed. Unfortunately I will not be able to come by. Got to start my clock alittle later to pull some miles south. Got to get to my Drop location tomorrow nite for a 0530 unload Friday then ease on up to Sanford, Fl. Ur Trainer should show up how to plan and set up a trip. Glad u made it to MCT. Welcome Sir. Atlanta Yard is "SO DUE" a remodel. Elm Springs, Ar has a Driver's "Clubhouse". Its old but clean and has Showers, Washer/Dryers, Cable TV. Sioux Falls is cool. Love Sanford and Auburndale, Florida Terminals. Qual Coms are using what looks to me to an old "DOS" or Wordperfect program. LOL. Please stay in touch and again Welcome to MCT.

So i am going to Atlanta for orientation on the 2nd so my question is how many days exactly is the orientation and the road test during the orientation do you go out on the road in the trucks to get a little more practice in automatics or you just straight up give the road test if your a recent graduate?Thank you
