Received emails to joint project44 carrier network in order to receive real time updates on the loads.
    Another spy application?

I’m guessing you use Dat loadboard? If so they want to know everything about you and your business. I read down to the part where they called me a premier carrier then hit delete.

I still haven’t signed up. If it’s just like any other tracking app like MacroPoint or Four Kites/CarrierLink, then why all the fuss? I think now even JB Hunt is trying to push for Project44. What is going on!?

For those using these tracking apps, don’t forget to cancel the constant tracking by closing the app and also going to your phone settings to stop the app from “always” send tracking updates. On the iPhone, go to settings> privacy> Location Services.

Some brokers asked me to use it. I downloaded it and used it once.

It tracks you while under load and automatically stops tracking once the load is delivered. That’s all I know as I only used it once.

Or just simply uninstall the app or never install it.

They want access to your ELD, it's not just a simple tracking app

I had my it guy look at this and he said too invasive.

We already had two brokers tell the drivers to install this "app" and give the account info to it so they can access the eld info. The drivers called the office and they were told no.

They can't install crap on the company phones because they are locked down and are forbidden to install anything on their own and put company info on it.

I guess it has different levels of tracking. The time I used it the app itself has no info or buttons to push. It just said “tracking on” while under a load and “tracking off” as soon as I got to destination.
