I have been hearing a lot of buzz about WY and the Powder River Basin. The pipeline constraints of the Permian opened the door to accelerating the interest in that WY play, and I heard the OUTRAGEOUS claim the other day by an energy expert that the Powder River could one day be bigger than the Permian.
Found from an article this week...
"Wyoming faces a backlog of more than 25,000 drilling permit applications from oil and gas companies. The tide of applications started as crude prices began to improve in 2017 but picked up velocity as oil and gas firms began competing for future interests. Wyoming rules give greater drilling authority to the first company with a permit in any given drilling section, so even for those not ready to drill, many felt rushed to stake a claim."
Also saw where the EIA is adding the play to its reports...

Anyway, not a new play but one that appears ripe for huge gains going forward.

Thanks to Shell's newest drilling techniques, they can steal oil from your land from a mile away or more.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I've heard this for about six months now. When I drove through there in January I got offered three jobs while in a gas station

We get royalties each month and don't have a pad on our land. Rock doctor was asking about drilling techniques
