New truck arrival has been taking forever... Hopefully in about a month the project truck will be ready for delivery from the dealer. Then the X-15 will get tested personally lol. 565/2050 spec. .
I have a 2019 kw t680 with 8000 mls on it. Has x15 efficiency series engine ,500 hp 1850 torque.it has developed a constant rattle in the engine which is quite loud .cant hear it when idling or reving up engine but once you head down the road you hear it thru every gear even when running empty.i realize Cummins has a rattle at higher rpms and it sounds like that rattle but it’s a lot louder and its all the time .also it shudders in hard pull at about 1200-1250 rpms then stops shuddering if rpms are above or below that.at kw dealer now but they are having hard time with it .no faults or codes are showing up. Anyone experience this?
My performance series do the shudder from 13-1350 and Ive heard rumors that the shudder is the clutch springs but who knows. As for the rattle Im not sure as my engine dosent do that.
Update.. Sort of... STILL HAVEN'T SEEN THE TRUCK FROM PETERBILT. CAN'T GET ANY ANSWERS FROM HUNTER PETERBILT IN ALLENTOWN PA.... Sorry for the yelling... Had to let off a little steam on that one... .
What's your WB and what driveline do you have... How many center bearings too? I'd suspect the rattle sound is the higher compression with the HPCR transition rattle... (Guessing) it's fairly common in the new pickups with ultra high pressure injections. .
Guys running the X15E , what fuel mpg #s are you seeing? I've been told by a few people the difference is huge compared to the performance series... Thanks!
When I Ordered mine first of this year it took 3.5 months to get mine. From what I'm hearing now is it could be middle of next year if you ordered right now.
