I might want to start a thread on the Spicer 250 & 350 driveline .....apparently it seems to be a massive problem across all trucks not just Peterbilt.
I took delivery of my truck and it had a massive vibration at 54 miles per hour and above. It felt like it had a dump truck bed shaker underneath my seat.
The truck required removing all driveshafts to be sent out and repaired .... This is so totally ridiculous for a brand new, VERY Expensive truck.
Hunter Peterbilt in Allentown PA really made me angry that they put a pre-delivery sticker on the truck and clearly didn't Road test... ..any goon could figure out something was majorly wrong with the truck..... in addition to other problems it was obvious the inspection was never done.
Anyhow, Gaumer Industries in Chambersburg Pennsylvania who has designed suspension components for paccar , informed me there is a rather large scale problem with Spicer driveline runout/imbalance issues currently.
If anyone is putting specifications together for a truck, do not, do not use Spicer driveline !!!!
.... Hope this helps...

I went shopping for a 3rd truck the other day. Everyone is drinking bong water. The least expensive all have one type of engine, it's not Cummins, Detroit, or Volvo though.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Mine got road tested cause it had 25 miles on it when I picked it up,but apparently the guy road testing needs to go back to sweeping floors. Also when I visited the peterbilt factory to watch my truck being built all the trucks come off the line and go on chassis dyno.So why is the factory not catching this?KB3MMX Thanks this.

I bought my truck before it got busy for $42.5K. They first asking was 52 or 54. 399K miles. 2012
They have 4 of them down there now same truck, but a '16. EXACT SAME TRUCK. $83.5K. Like 335K miles range.
That's 5 grand more than the asking for the fully loaded Prime trucks.
I told the guy to his face their whole place is on crack. -

So far I love my 565/2050,18 speed,3.55 rears on tall 24.5's. I pull a 435 landoll trailer. I haul salvage trucks I buy so I'm never super heavy. The truck pulls hard and if you don't watch it you'll be cruising at 85 and not even know it. I set the cruise to stay out of trouble.
blacklabel and Hegemeister Thank this.
