All 3 of them blew up and sank the company, 6.5-7mpg US gallon, Calgary to Vancouver all winter on winter fuel. 8-9 mpg across the prairies, 65mph governed. #1 36 780kms, #2 69 450kms #3 66 500kms.

Cummins didn't cover any of it??
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
They did, but 6-8 weeks per truck to get them going again, plus the comebacks for issues caused during the repairs. The payments of course didn't stop, and the inability to meet contractual requirements, due to lack of loaners from International/Cummins was just too many hits to take all at once.KB3MMX, Zeviander, gokiddogo and 1 other person Thank this.

This X-15 contraption is what we’re buying to put in all the new 579’s. Reading this isn’t very encouraging.
KB3MMX, Zeviander and BigHossVolvo Thank this. -
Called several dealer shops and inquired about the X15. They all say the motor is doing very well. No major negative trends.
KB3MMX, BigHossVolvo and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
Yea, i'm starting to think this wasn't a Cummin's issue, but an International issue, with all their crap strapped too it and the configuration they run in these LT's. Also this is only the Efficiency Series, not the performance series.KB3MMX and Hegemeister Thank this.

Lol.
No bad issues yet with the X15. Havent even had the cover off one yet. So far so good. Not enough k on one to judge it yet however. Usually every year they fix the old issues and create some new ones in the process. The new single canister aftertreatment looks easier to service. Time will tellKB3MMX Thanks this. -
What exactly went wrong with with them? "Blew up" is kind of vague.KB3MMX Thanks this.
