I gotta believe a company like Cummins can build a motor that's reliable and long lasting. The problems in the industry in recent years mostly revolve around after treatment systems.
The industry has come a long way and with Cummins using a single canister system in their 3rd model year, is very encouraging. Simplicity breeds reliability and ease of service.
Just looking a the X15, you can see all the boxes and hoses that have been eliminated over the years.
