I bought this truck with a 2018 X15 efficiency, it had 325K when I bought it. A few months after buying it I took it to Pittsburgh Power. While doing an overhead they found cam lobe wear, they said “it’s within spec, but let’s keep on eye on it.” A year later they did another overhead and found it had gotten progressively worse. I replaced the cam and all rockers, about 10 months ago.
Truck runs fine not burning oil or losing coolant. I’m scheduled for another overhead next month. I guess we’ll see how this cam is faring.

I’ll have to go back through my maintenance data this give you an exact amount, but I believe around $3200, and that was with a Landstar discount on the labor rate.

Hoping I can get away with less then 10k

Sold my ISX at like 750K. Delvac 15-40 and all filters every 20K.
Never touched it.
Bad. Bad owner. Bad. -
Find a shop you trust, and have them do it. The Cummins dealers quote was about $2000 higher than the two other quotes I got.calvinbabb Thanks this.
