If it's at 15 change it man yes you wouldn't want to do to the filter change on the roadside it's. When I bought my truck my paper fuel filter lasted 25k miles after that one second I changed it at 33k Mike's cause of the service bit was going to need it and third at 49k with service cause it was clogging again so I did the hole service probably the tanks are dirty getting cleaned out or just bad fuel

I don't understand why you guys are seeing filters getting dirty so fast. I never seen over 6-7hg of restriction on my 388 with the x15.

That's one I have also the stock filter lasted 25k miles the last 2 only 12 to 16k Miles cause pressure gets up 15 to 18hg getting clogged too fast maybe fuel got the tanks dirty or they were dirty from manufacturer when built

Where do you buy fuel? I only run in the northwest and mainly fuel at love's but sometimes pilot/flying J. I also over service the truck and change oil and all filters once a month. Which is anywhere between 250-500 hours or 9-15,000 miles. No APU and I run a PTO/Blower for unloading/loading pneumatic tankers so it gets lots of idle time.

Alright men, we're back on the road. Guess what, it was the GAWDD- - -ED FUEL FILTERS. The same thing I suggested to the shop on Thursday. Unfortunately Cummins has a large troubleshooting tree that has to be followed and then it required a software update to get it out of DeRate. Im not overly excited about the $400.00 bill either but I am happy that it was not some hard part like pumps or injectors. I wish Cummins would loosen up some of the parameters and let the engines run. This cost me ALOT in lost time. Common story I know, he should have unloaded this morning but now we're just getting started. Done venting for the day. Good luck out there everyone.
