I have 30k miles on mine 2019 389 565hp 1850 torque 18spd 342 ratios no issues love the power mpg fully .as 79k 5.8 to 6.2 depends on wind hills etc 6.8 to 7.5 mpg anything under 20k the load I haul flatbed
KB3MMX and Hegemeister Thank this. -
How are you measuring MPG?
-
Everytime I fuel up I count the miles then divide whatever miles I drove with the next fill up -
Some people use the dash indicator which could be inaccurate.
Also, If one has an APU, especially during the hot summer, it will make the true MPG look lower.
But happy to see you have decent MPG and a good motor.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I will be getting a 2019 W900 X15 in September. Placed order in April.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Best investment I made gotten lucky this year has not been hot only idled 4 times so far stay in the midwest I'm getting the apu in winter when I'll need it just catching up on money after buying my truck good luck with your w900 you wont regret it my buddy has a t680 averages 7 to 9mpg but I love big hoods 6mpg is great anyway
KB3MMX and Justrucking2 Thank this. -
I'm trading in my T680 for the W9. I run specialized over 100k. The W9 will be more suited for my type of work.
The APU is so worth the extra cost in a lot of ways. Especially taking the idling off your motor.
I wish you continued luck and success with your investment!KB3MMX and Justrucking2 Thank this. -
Does any know what is the Cummins recommended RPM range for X15 performance engine?
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Ive got a 565/2050 with 3.58 rears with 11r22.5's so I run 1400 at 65 1500 at 70. I usually shift 12-1400 empty, 14-1600 when Im light loaded at 80,000 gross and 15-1700 when Im 105-106,000. Pulling hard at anything under 1300 and it sounds like its trying to puke its guts out. Even though they say peak torque is at 1150-1200 on this motor I wont ever pull it that low. Remember its not a Cat so keep the R's up a little higher and she will be much happier. Also try to keep idle time to a minimum if you can and when driving it drive the piss out of it while getting up to speed and when pulling hills. I know it seems counterproductive but the hotter you keep that DPF the less time you will spend in the shop.KB3MMX and Hegemeister Thank this.
