Drop the pad or phone ... there's a hard brake. Pickup the phone ... there's a hard brake. Phone runs dead, there's a violation. Phone goes on the fritz requiring a restart (as they often do), your logging is probably not complete or accurate. With Eobr, if you're going to implement them, you need a dedicated device built to trucking standards that can stand the abuses trucks deal with and will operate where a cell signal does not exist ... IMHO
