There is no diffrence between the two anymore. When sir has merged everything together a few years back. Hell the even use the sams sats now. The only place you get fewer channels is if ur radio was to old to accept the pni update file to allow your radio to receive them.
There is some chan difference in there packages tho.

They still technically run two signals (XM and Sirius), and generally a given satellite can only relay one signal

I know as of more or less a year ago, a Sirius radio would receive in more locations (not as susceptible to signal blockage) than XM radio due to satellite location and repeater availability, but this may have changed recently.
A roaming 48 state/canada trucker would still be better off with a Sirius radio as far as solid reception goes. IMO
It actually seems XM has fallen off a bit. I get fade in places today I did not use to. Maybe it's due to some satellite(s) has died and not yet been replaced? -

if you go on Iowa 80 they have a replacement radio with it built in and bluetooth at a good price.

I hated it when the two companies combined. I would pay more per month if I could get the music without the pain in the butt DJs.

How about them running their 30 second ads praising themselves for commerical free music hours inbetween songs
scottied67 and mrdot Thank this. -
I like it for the news channels

I like it for Howard (when he decides to show up) many of the rock channels, the comedy channels and news. And football.

I've had Sirius since '05. Was great back then, you could keep a channel and listen forever, they were trying to garner more customers to beat XM so Howard came on board. Still not bad, then they merged and customer service went for a big dump. I've got 3 radios in different vehicles and the little things like getting the internet stream that you used to get with your subscription now is a paid service. If you wanted it stand alone then fine charge for it, but I believe if you already have a subscription/subscriptions it should still be included, not nickel and dime you for another 2.95 a month. Like the other fella said it's not commercial free, try listening to the Road Dog channel, they've got more commercial time then you can shake a stick at. I think I too will definitely re evaluate if/when Howard leaves.
