I was dealing with one of their recruiters. From what I researched, they’re not a union but it’s ran like a union. Seniority is everything. I heard they make you start off doing a lot of dock work until you finally get to start driving. Pay was very good. Again, I heard. I could have heard wrong. I would have taken the job if I didn’t have my dream job lined up.
Thanks for the response, I mean it’s still LTL better than OTR I think, I do get calls from Crete and JB hunt as well but I was advised to stick with LTL if I could.. I’m only 1 year experience tho and the industry seems rough
What? You have a whole year? You can get pretty much any local job you want. I’m brand new and was getting local offers left and right. The ones that couldn’t get me into the door only wanted me to come back with 3 months experience. Get your endorsements if you don’t have them. Tanker, hazmat, doubles/triples. And apply for jobs on indeed.
Same parent company. XPO is the LTL side. RXO is the brokerage/logistics side and run trucks as well. They just split earlier this year.
XPO is okay. If you hire on with any large scale LTL carrier, you're probably going to have to put some time in before you get the chance to land the ideal position you want. They all have pros and cons, but you have the potential to make a pretty decent paycheck, and you'll be home everyday.
