I don’t know anyplace else to put this. It does qualify as a gadget.
It’s a weighted blanket. Thing weighs 15 pounds. I think it’s filled with sand? Feels like it.
I know they try all kinds of BS advertising. Bottom line with me was I wanted a heavy blanket. Remind me of when a child. Blankets felt heavy and comfortable. I wanted that back.
I can’t say I gotta sleep with it. Can or not. Do like it when I do. Had one night I couldn’t sleep. Just lay there and not fall asleep. It did help me to fall asleep.
I’d add a picture. But no big deal.
I have all kinds of luxury in my sleeper. Two Bamboo pillows. Two heavy blankets. But they don’t have weight to them like this weighted one does. Glad I got it.

Amish make great blankets,,,I believe you are referring to "grandmas feather bed", and that's long gone.

My son has a weighted blanket and says he loves it. Not me anything more than a sheet, it's on the floor.

Weighted blankets do a world of good for autistic children. Makes them feel safe, among other things.

I have the opposite feelings on weighted blankets. Makes me feel I can’t breathe, it comes from my childhood. Now when I see one of these “communist blankets” as I call it, I start feeling like I’m running out of air.

My daughter has one too. Helps her with a few issues. I guess the theory is it’s a call back to the feeling of being swaddled as a baby.

    Something so simple.
    Been thinking of getting one.

    BennysPennys Thanks this.

I have the window open (winter included) with half the blankets kicked off. Cool idea though.
