Yet another driver robbed and killed

When I pull in to *asphalt plant name here* I check my weapon in, like a LEO; and I'm not one. I'm fully licensed. Plan to stay that way. I didn't even want to reply to this thread, but it grinds my gears.

 

I'm intrastate; check my above post. I was 'attempting' to stay out of this debacle / debate, but..... i'm contracted and ... nuf said.

 

A lot of places that I go to nowadays have signs posted stating clearly no firearms or weapons of any kind allowed. Even if it is stowed or secured in your truck.

 

Same here, but because I run intrastate / pretty much dedicated; I just check 'em.

 

We all should be saddened by this.....

 

And I am, in entirety. A kid the age of my 2nd youngest...in angst.

 

Thats the 1st thing I thought when it said 18 year old arrested. My oldest is 18 I can imagine how the drivers family feels being a driver and how the suspects family feel having a son his age.

 

It's such a loss for ALL involved. My oldest is 26 in the Army, next 22 at FSU (yeah I know, don't hate) and then my daughter, only girl, is 18 and my boi is 14. Breaks my heart. Dang.

 

Tell me about it,I've got cousins around that age bracket living around Houston,Flint,Michigan,St.Louis,Memphis,Cleveland and Chicagoland. I'm 40 years old-growing up doing stuff like this was the furthest thing from my mind. Don't get me wrong,there were (and still are) gangs around Elgin that could cause issues but even then they could find something more constructive to do with their spare time than to harass people,let alone kill someone trying to make an honest living.
