Quiet the opposite my friend. I merely pointed out, how you and others would react to a sign such as stated on the side of a truck.

Offended. And subject to react verbally or physically. And I would suffer that wrath if it were on the side of my truck

    Point proven.

Quality person?? Making BS statements about something you claim to have as an education in. But fail to understand even basic economics of business. Especially trucking. Where do you get off even trying?

One accident, can cost a company millions. And you're going to preach to me about Swift being as good or average. Maybe some people/companies don't want to be "just" average.

If my company has ONE accident less than Swift. They are a better company.

They and their drivers prevent the potential loss of millions. Allowing us to continue to overtake Swift in sheer size, and total mileage.

The hiring of warm bodies to fill seats, is a failed policy. And it reflects in company earnings, and driver pay.

Swift Driver Fitness Scores...THIS year alone. Reflects the lax hiring practices and safety concerns.

    45 - Operating a CMV without a CDL

36 - Driving while (CDL) disqualified.

    61 - Lacking physical Qualification

201 - Driver not in possession of Medical Cert.

15 - Driver lacking valid license for type of vehicle driven.

69 - Driving a CMV while disqualified (medically)

Here's some more numbers for you to put to pencil.

My company averaged 112,000 per truck last year, for a total of 1.2 billion miles. With an average of 8.1% accident rate company wide.

Swift averaged 99,000 miles per truck last year, for a total of 1.6 billion miles. With an average of 8.8% accident rate company wide.

7/10 of a percent isn't anything to a politician who throws money around like it grows on trees. But it translates into 113 +/- wrecks. Which can translate into 100's of millions in potential damage and legal fees.

One accident cost one company an $18 million judgement. Although it was appealed, and I do not know the outcome of that. It still cost money.

Throwing WalMart in shows how accident rates increase when WalMart chooses to contract with Swift and Schneider rather than increase their fleet .
