I saw a safe Swift driver yesterday. He was good too.
It took a lot of skill for him to turn that thing around in the "associate" parking lot of Searcy, AR Wal-Mart DC.
But I do believe it would have been much easier, to do it at the truck entrance.![]()
Yet another "Swift" move.

Had a load bentonite clay to pick up from the mine one time...Swift Skateboarder was in front of me....The shipping manger told him to pull into the dock.....Guess what the Swifty did..... -
. Just messing with the recruiters. Just use a finer filter for the information you receive from ANY company rep.

Speaking of facts, opinions, and statements.
I spent 3 days in hell last weekend, with a driver who's husband was a "Federal DOT Officer", she claimed.
She claimed 30 years experience herself.
However, she did not know where the old I-71 scales were. Had never been across those scales. Didn't know there were any scales at any time on the north bound side of 71 between Louisville and Cincinnati. aka I was full of ####.
She also advised me that NO driver could run a split sleeper, without restarting everything with a 10 hour break....per Federal law. Her words not mine.
She told me it was against the law, for law enforcement to do a "roadside" inspection. Like I'm gonna argue with a guy that has a gun.
She also took the time to let me know how stupid I was for paying just under $600 for full coverage on 2 (two) cars, since she only paid $375 for one.
And BTW, her husband (the fed DOT officer) told her that the higher your CSA score was. The better.
Moral of this lesson: Always wear your hip waders when speaking with other drivers and have a nice parking spot as far away from the dumb #### as possible.volvodriver01, doubledragon5, Working Class Patriot and 2 others Thank this. -
O/O's usually have more experience. Where do new drivers start?
COMPANY DRIVERS! Hello!
Just as an FYI, I am constantly surprised by how my students fail to read signs. I probably harp on that one item more than any other. I don't know how they have functioned up to this point, but it's simply amazing!
There is NO excuse for this driver. The sign exists and anybody that's been driving more than 30 days had better be able to judge a height question....at least to the point where you check it out with something other than your trailer! -
