I saw you're truck sitting at the Lorain yard last week. I said oh so that's where he parks.cke Thanks this.

Good job, no drivers called in to say you ran them off the hy with the truck you were towing?
-
It could have been worse for sure!
I was headed East on 86 through NY and about 60 miles from my receiver and I jumped out to check my straps and see oil all down my drivers side....a lot of it (brand new too :/)! I checked the dipstick and nothing showing!! OMG! I jump back in and fire it up oil pressure goes to 20 I roll down the on ramp and it goes to 40 as usual. I am not going to be late I never have! I kept my eye on it and made it to the receiver and shut it down. Made a little mess but thankfully they were a truck and trailer repair place (Lainge) and they didn't mind.(I lost 2 gallons in about a hour)
So we unload and diagnose the culprit to ACC drive pulley. It appeared to be the brass bushing in the magnesium cover.....which I had already done...so I was bummed ($1200.00 front cover part only).
Once this was determined we all agreed it was best done at Cummins (I tell you what IMO all of their shops are top notch and all owned by Cummins). Enter Johns towing. He hooked me up literally and figuratively....fair price to tow me to Elmira NY Cummins. Great crew there.
Enter James the Lyft driver who takes me to the Holiday Inn express. I walk in and grab one of the last 2 rooms (car race here I hear) realize I left my overnight backpack in my tilted cab back at Cummins. LOL.
I check in and then walk out to walk the 2.2 miles back to cummins to grab my gear and realize I am surrounded by highways with no sidewalks. Back to the room to google earth! It looked easier to walk the railroad track to Walmart and get a backpack and some fresh skins. It rained the entire way there and back but all the new stuff is dry and my truck will be done tomorrow afternoon and I have a late checkout.
Now....get this.....at 530PM tonight...the Holiday Inn express is having free pizza and beer....who does that!!???
Load paid my truck 2k.
Diagnostics and oil/shop supplies at receiver. 266.00.
Tow 600.
Cummins 1200.00
Hotel. 225.00 (Normally only 93.00 but that dang race!!)Last edited: Jun 27, 2018

Ok good. I know it sucks throwing your card all over the place but sounds like you were surrounded by the right people?
Not hard to spend $10k in a breakdown even if you know what the problem is? I can see how some of these emissions issues can get to $20k perty easy?
Not defending these shops but just the way it goes? -
I really was surrounded by the right people! Almost unreal...

I was out there all last week and I saw you're truck parked there over by the other trucks in second half of the yard across from where we park and I said Oh there's Vogelpohl's truck.cke Thanks this.
