I buy something and save the receipt. Then they are kicking a customer off, not just a random driver. If its a cop, notifiy about HOS and maybe he will escort you to better parking. (a cop knew of a safe spot not on GPS and drove with me to it). If it's a rena cop, you can argue untill he threatens to call the cops. If parking at wall mart, always call ahead and ask manager. get the managers name encase your questioned later.

Doesn't happen often. I always look for signs. When it does I have no time on my clock and I'm on ELOGS.

That means nothing. Trespassing is trespassing. Cops won't care & they'll tow you in addition to giving you a nice hefty fine if you don't move when told to do so.

Your failure to trip plan is nobody else's responsibility but your own.

Well I'm taking about places that receive and ship commercial products. Some even claim they own the street that there business is on. Its ok I'll keep driving till I fall asleep.

Yep, been to several like that (WalMart DC's DO seem to be the worst offenders on having ridiculous amounts of open space forbidden to use for parking).

It all boils down to the property owner's rights & prerogatives, as has been stated numerous times already.

When I get permission to park I try to do a little clean up . I put on gloves, take a trash bag or two and pickup around my truck first. Then I widen the area. My way of saying thank you .

I was at a Dollar General DC in Bessemer, AL today, the place is brand new with a giant paved lot for us to park for our break or after we're empty.
the whole lot is covered with pieces of pallets and trash.
