I've pulled just about every kind of trailer you can imagine and I've always stopped when I was hungry or sleepy and I usually just look for the most conveniant spot that I can safely get in. I never pay any attention to what kind of wagon your pulling as much as I do to the type tractor your driving and sometimes the name on the door, in other words if there are two spots open and one is between two mega carriers and the other is between two produce haulers or bull wagons, then I will always pick the latter, they just seem to be a little classier drivers. I know each person is differant but when I'm tired I could sleep in a cement mixer while being fired at buy a howitzer, but did any of you not look around on your first trip and say to yourselves " man this is a noisy environment". I love trucking or I wouldn't have done it this many years and there is alot of unsafe and dangerous moves made by some drivers to upset me without worrying about a little noise. I just thought about how long it's been since a lot lizzard knocked on my truck to wake me up, so you see things are improving.
You guys that run reefers,

Guess I never notice that or a flatbedder adjusting his chains or testing his airhorn at 3 am either. You must stay at some noisey truck stops.

once i get in the truckstop, i check my reefer, if all is well, then it lights out for me, i try not too notice small things , but a busted splitter or that young kid pumping 34 tho rap in his ear and the doors are banging so hard , his mirrors is moving now that's a tad much, so i just move too the far far away land in the back row if i can.

I can't see the difference between a reefer running all night or a trk idleing all night, they're both noisey. The ones who complain about being next to a noisey reefer would find something else to nit pick about if not a noisey reefer. Its a no win situation.
last 1 Thanks this. -
Well, I finally found the location they wanted me to drop the dozer, but I ran out of light. So I decided to bunk down for the night. I couldn't tell you how many critters visited me that night, as I slept like a dead man. But, I was awakened the next morning by cows using my truck as a scratching post.
The rancher came out and rescued me next morning. We got lost coming back lol, and he owned the property. -
I can usual sleep all night. But sometimes..........

I park next to you guys so I can read some more whining posts on TTR about it. If there wasn't a reefer whining thread once a week I don't know what I'd do on here.
