Nothing I just hate it! No parking and traffic is always a monster up there. It IS a lot different than most of the country without a doubt! Even though L.A. is as bad traffic wise, at least there's space out there and if you get lost it's not too hard to get back on track.

You can get in a real pickle up in the NE if you're not careful. Now granted, had I been trained with someone else up there to show me the ropes, I'd probably be less hateful of it but I'm not going to learn it on my own because fines can be very heavy up there.

Now I really don't mind upstate ny, but I don't want to venture far from I-81. I just hate 95 from Richmond, VA up as it seems #### near every time I went there, it would take 3-4 hours just to get to 495 around DC from Richmond! I realize it's the oldest portion of the nation and there's no real estate but c'mon! It's ridiculous. You're from there so you're used to it. For a while I thought NJ was my home lol.

The only other place I can think that comes close is Chicago. But for whatever reason, Chicago never really bothered me but I always seemed to run there at night.

Just too many people clustered together for my taste. I see though why alot of yankees are ####### crazy because I would be too if I had to deal with what they put up with all the time.

When we were OTR I rather liked the NE. I found a lot of nice people in NJ especially. I did get tired of the rain but......well......not their fault. NYC was nice too. I was rather shocked, I had expected everyone to be so rude but they weren't. Now....I did find a few rude people over in New Hampshire. But I just decided they had sticks up their bottoms. Chicago people were rude. I will say that. Chicago was probably the rudest place I've ever been. Like a bunch of church ladies wearing their to tight sunday shoes.

People were also nice about letting us stay on property at night etc.

I don't know..........I miss OTR and I miss meeting the people in other areas.

Did it sound as though I was saying you did? I'm sorry if it did, that wasn't my intention at all. I just rather liked the travel. My husband didn't but I find that funny since he's originally from Mass. LOL yankee man can't stand yankee land.

LOL, hey thats kinda funny Nana:biggrin_255:

Rubbergears I think most of those companies listed are LTL and from what I know, if you dont have HM and doubles endorsement they wouldnt want you around so yes it would benefit you to get them. You cant be marketable if you aint got nothing to sell

No you didn't imply that, I was just clarifying as to why I hate it lol. There are some pretty places up there but it's hell getting to them.
