Or come home after being on the road for 8 weeks...get into your pickup and go shopping but have trouble back up...saying to yourself, "I can back a 70 foot vehicle up but can't back up a pickup." ha ha

This really pisses me off. I love to go rv camping and when I get to the campground it takes me 30 minutes to back the dang thing in, meanwhile everyone else takes 5 minutes. I know I can put my 53' van in this spot, why the heck do I have so much trouble putting my 26' camper there? :)

My kids (grade school aged at the time) used to find excuses to give their buddies rides. They would brag to their friends their father shifted the pickup without the clutch, and then had to prove it.

As usual, I didn't have a clue what was going on in their minds....

Had the clutch slave cylinder go out on me during a cannonball to Vegas. 100 miles from Vegas. Clutch pedal went down on the floor. Floated her in to Vegas. Shut the car off at the redlights and on green, started the car in gear. It's different, and you have to be more careful and more precise, but the same principle holds.

^Had that happen to me when I had a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. Even back in 2001 parts for XJs were expensive, but not as expensive as the labor charges just to take parts off just to get at the bad slave cylinder(internally mounted).

I have a manual pickup and I've killed it a few times because you have to give that one gas when letting off the clutch. Ooops!

GF and I just recently bought an older Ford Ranger, and I couldn't help but float the gears in it. Bad part is, my big truck is an automatic.
