I respect first the law. I obtained my CDL legally and I’m looking for insurance done legally. I don’t respect age restrictions or arbitrary time restrictions on experience for reasonable pay.

Can you pass a drug test?
Need to be clean 90 days to pass urine drug test.
Need to be clean 12 months to pass hair follicle drug test.
You will be tested; it's the law! -
Yes I can! Never touched drugs/alcohol in my life. Clean as God’s Temple.

www.OOIDA.com can give you insurance quotes and other information about financing a truck and being an owner-operator.Timmy Fran Thanks this.

You hate the word “patience”. You don’t belong in a semi.
You need to learn the definition of independent contractor as the IRS sees it.
You thought you were smart by saving time and money getting cdl training the way you did. Really, what good did that do because now you can’t find the job you want. Under most circumstances unemployed people are loosing money.
A company paying you on a 1099 is probably cheating the government. If said company is cheating the government, who is to say they won’t cheat you?
You will be cheating yourself on 1099 pay.
You have totally got the horse in front of the cart. You need to go back and start over.
This is my only post on this thread so do as you wish.Tb0n3, 88 Alpha, bryan21384 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Yeah, I’ve tried with several supposed “easy” finance groups and because I have very little credit history and no money down they say there’s nothing I can do. My plan is to get a down payment as soon as possible after driving/saving/& learning about the mechanics in someone else’s truck.

That website shows you the step by step procedure for becoming and owner-operator.
OOIDA doesn't finance trucks, but will help you find a company that will, if you're qualified.
Timmy Fran Thanks this.
