Your 55 ton specs

All those states that don't care - like MS or my 199k Florida annual - allow you weight upto their limit for that axle group but you don't have to specify what a particular axle group weighs. This is contrast to a state like OK or AR that make you specify what each group weighs and then they determine your gross from there.

 

I assume you're asking about NC.
They're weird. If you/company have an approval/issued permit for said configuration and approx weights in the last 90 days, it only takes 2 days. If you/company don't have a recent approval, then it is a week to 10 days for an approval.
