The OP has the biggest hurdles crossed. A reliable truck with plates and a driver.
This forum wastes plenty of time advising people who want to get started that will never cross the threshold that the OP has already tackled.
His/her operation needs a tuneup and with all the obvious room for improvement in that settlement, i see no reason to feel that they are doomed. Ditch that monkey lease and go to mag carriers. 20% expense decrease. Run the truck 30% more miles and do 50% less deadhead. Back in black. The owner can dispatch the truck off a $35 load board and get the same $1.92 all miles that the "manager" was charging crazy money for.
Major manufacturers go in and out of profitability all the time. That is no reason to close the plant and sell the equipment. It hasnt burned down yet. You evaluate the issues and make adjustments. Part of every business.

$1240 a month for DISPATCHING and you think the OP cant turn this boat around? Cmon.
-
Sure he can... He just needs to find a new harbor... With a harbor master that is going to keep him on good fishing, and not rape him as he does it.dwells40, FlaSwampRat and fishonron Thank this.

There you have it Dune-T. Step 1. Less rapey harbor master.
PPLC, 86scotty, HoneyBadger67 and 3 others Thank this. -
All depends, like I said some of those factoring company contracts are skeery . If he has a management contract with one too, they may have him by the webos.
I thought at one time I needed to actor, but got over that feeling fairly quickly, when I started reading the bigger companies contracts, they own you if you sign the dotted line. -
Less rapey harbor would not matter. OP does not even know how much it really costs to change batteries, not even talking about anything else. He should have checked the numbers and do the math before getting a truck, but not after.
The only way for him to make money is to go get a CDL, start driving and wrench himself. Even then, an old emissions truck can financially wreck even an o/o.
The passive business income what he is trying to do is not realistic, period.Socal Xpress Thanks this. -
It's like saying you need to win a lottery. Possible? Yes. Realistic? Not.
-
Why not? Have you never moved from one company to another??? OOs dont just give up because the first company they lease on with screws them... They move on to greener pastures... New CDL drivers don't just stay at the mega that got paid for thier CDL if they feel like they can do better elsewhere... They go to a better company. Its not much different than finding a new job... A little more paperwork, and more research... But essentially the same.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

LMAo. I just went back and looked, that 300.70 dollar payout ffor the week is a negative 300 bucks, need to double that up at least to really make any money on this deal. lol
The op has never actually said what his business plans or his intentions, but if that is his first week he may be successful with his business plan as is if.
He is after a quick edjumacation
he needs a tax write off..
I do not know why I thought he had pocketed 300 bucks after his listed expenses, even though it is written in blood red. -
Re rapey contracts. Call them up and say you need a $24k cash advance for an engine overhaul, and that your driver just quit.
I bet they ask for the fuel card back within the hour.npok, dwells40 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
