When you look at the weight of the truck. That is on the door jam. Is that weight close? Or just a guess from the factory? Looked at a W900 and it had a weight of 16.580 on the door jam. This was the 60 something " Mid roof, 12.7, 10 speed and 34000 rears.

Company that Used to work for. Their largest wrecker then was 84k and limited storage. Had a 3500 chevy to follow it with enclosed body for the equipment.

Columbia 1/2 full 140 gallons, and utility reefer full 50 gallons, 33,500 most of the time. Have loaded 45,500 of potatoes on the floor but it's tricky to scale.

Heavy one.

It's a strictly heavy haul truck. It's right on the boarder line of being considered a prime mover. You could do general hauling with it I guess but it red-lines right at 65mph. I don't even like to drive it empty to the job, preferring to haul it to the job when we can if it's a long distance.Oldironfan Thanks this.

Exactly what is prime mover? Is it only in Australia?
-
I don’t know if it’s a official term, but we call a prime mover a truck that normally hauls really heavy loads slowly. Quite often it pulls the trailer by drawbar, as with a Goldhofer type setup. They are built for brute strength, not for traveling Hwy speeds or any concen for fuel mileage.Oldironfan Thanks this.
