A common misconception seems to be that a level 1 is a "lower level" than a 3. Thats not the case.
A level 3 is a paper work check. A level 1 is the full grown deal that can result in you getting a nice little sticker for your window.......... or not.
And you guys going years without any inspections??? whats up with that???
In 08 I got A LOT of level 3s. Some thing like 6 or 7. -
Ya never know now days -
My question as well.
Sometimes I think I must have a sign on my vehicle. -

i used to run upstate ny every week, and usually got a level 3 just about every week... they would usually take about 20 mins from the time i pull in, to the time i pull out,. got 4 in one week.... got a level 1 in ny one time, got 333 bucks in tickets for the trl, company paid!,
thenn... i was in cali, crossing the scale, got pulled into the bay, 7 inches over bridge, and landed myself a level 1... about 50 mins, checkd everything pretty good except for my logs and i got the yellow sticker too -
Been driving for 25+ years , 5 years local around Atlanta,GA , 3 years local around Chicago and the rest OTR. Have had only 1 Level 1 and 2 level 3's in all that time.(knock on wood). Passed all 3 times. Last Inspection was a level 1 in 2008 on Hwy 78 in Mississippi, got some nice little stickers (CVSA) that time.
